"Matt Bertani is an asset to our coaching staff. He is able to break the game down so well in the video room, show our players various systems and skills needed to compete at the NHL level and then take the ice with them in practice to demonstrate those skills. He brings a positive attitude to the office each day and working with him is always enjoyable."
- Doug Weight – New York Islanders Assistant General Manager / Assistant Coach
"Since the start of my pro career in 2010, I’ve worked with Matt Bertani in various parts of the game. His hockey knowledge and the little details on what it takes to succeed at every level (college hockey, ECHL, AHL and NHL) are what make him a good coach."
- Travis Hamonic #3 - New York Islanders Defenseman
"Early in my career, I was consistently told that my skating and the release of my shot needed improvement if I was going to be an everyday player in the NHL. I worked with Matt Bertani throughout my two seasons in Bridgeport and even skated with him during the 2010 summer, prior to training camp. Now I feel that my skating is one of my strengths and has helped me offensively gain more chances."
- Matt Martin #17 - Toronto Maple Leaf Winger
"I was thrilled my son got to be a part of this camp. It was a tremendous experience and one that not only gave him solid instruction and better technique, but one that gave him a great summer vacation memory. He worked hard, learned a lot and came home with a big smile and soaked hockey equipment. Can’t ask for much more. Thanks Coach Matt."

"Matt Bertani’s camp was both fun and informative for my son. It was great that he had instruction from coaches who have experience in NHL, junior and college levels that lends credibility to what they teach. We appreciated the availability of the coaches and their willingness to help both in group and individual levels."

"We cannot say enough good things about this camp. The camp was a great balance of on-ice and off-ice sessions, which allowed the players to combine skills. We saw just in 5 days how our son was able to fine tune his skills and combine them with speed. Just being in the environment of camp was a huge plus and great way for him to start his season. Matt and all of the coaches were great with each player, taking the time to work with them on specifics and explain what they were supposed to do. We will definitely be back next year for camp! And, we would definitely recommend it for any player!"
